Dynamically update text based on Jira query results?

I would like to be able to dynamically update text (e.g. link font/color) on a confluence (5.10.8) page if the linked to Jira 7.2.3 chart contains data in its query (or not). I looked for macros to do this, but have had no luck so far. I'm using our standalone confluence (not cloud), however I would need to get an admin to install any additional macros. Thanks!
