Does the quick navigation aid search all of Confluence?

Ravi Nair February 9, 2014

We have installed Confluence v5.4.2 (standalone) and noticed that when we use the quick navigation aid (search box), the results listed are only the pages that I have already visited. It doesn't seem to list anything outside of pages I've already visited. Is there any way to get the quick navigation aid to list results from the whole Confluence installation or is this by design? I have run the Search indexing and it hasn't helped.

The quick search should return results matching your search, not results matching your history. Which search (quick navigation) are you referring to? The search box in the global header or the popup box you get when hitting 'g' then 'r' ? This is only your history.

You may want to schedule a reindex from scrach, not just a manual reindex from confluence admin menus.

Hope this helps.
