Disabling 'recommended' emails from including my pages

Natalie Grant May 23, 2013

Hi -- sometimes I get emails that say "Recommended Updates" with other people's updates to their Confluence pages. Getting these is fine, but what I want to disable is that I don't want other people getting MY updates in their 'recommended' emails. Is this possible and how can I do it? Thanks!

The emails observe permissions - so if you set the restrictions on the pages to only have you as being able to view them - then nobody else would receive links to them.

I see. Well, it wouldn't be practical for me to be the only one to be able to see the pages, so I guess that means there's no way to prevent random people getting automated messages to see my pages as they are being edited and updated.

Thanks for your help!

I'm not sure if you can do that.

What happens if you deselect the tick box that sends out updates when you save a page you've just edited?

Thanks for the suggestion -- I thought about that, but 1) there would be no way for me to know if that worked, because emails could still be sent out without my knowledge, and 2) that means I'd have to check that box EVERY time I made any updates to any page, which is dozens of times a day. I was hoping there'd be a known solution?
