Disabling email updates for confluence

When I follow the directions here (https://confluence.atlassian.com/confkb/how-to-globally-disable-e-mail-notifications-with-page-content-718670714.html) to disable emails for page updates, it says that the module cannot be modified?

Same here ... using the cloud based confluence.

I have worked around this by disabling it for each and every single registered user

• User Management
• Click on user name
• Hit Login as user button
• Profile/Tools/Wiki Profile --> Remove every watched page and disable everything in Settings/Email

Works only if you have a limited number of users though.
