Disabled user still receives email notifications - how can I fix this?

Hi,

A user who is no longer allowed to use our Confluence instance, still receives notifications from a team calendar. According to Confluence documentation this should not be happening and this is inconclusive.

The user is not in a LDAP group which is allowed to use Confluence.

Confluence version: 5.8.13

Does somebody have an idea how to fix this?

Thanks for the help.

The workaround is not a way to go for us because we use the email addresses to contact old users for news and other things. So we do not want to loose this information.

Hi team,

We have opened a bug report here, but the developers weren't able to replicate the issue. However, you could try the workaround in the bug report to update the email of all disabled users so they won't receive any email afterwards.
