Disable the Popular Labels macro.

Matthew Pyle December 18, 2012

Hi,

Is there any way to disable the Popular Labels macro? Or, is there any way to modify it to show only labels that a user has permissions to? Right now, when a user adds the macro to a page they can see all labels, even labels they don't have permissions to.

Hallo Matthew

You can disable the macro via the Confluence Administration Console. You need system administration permissions to do this.

  1. In Confluence, choose "Browse" > "Confluence Admin".
  2. In the left-hand panel, choose "Manage Add-Ons" (or plugins, depending on your Confluence version).
  3. Choose "Show System Plugins" (under the heading "System Plugins") to see all the plugins bundled with Confluence.
  4. Choose "Advanced Macros" to open the details panel for the Advanced Macros plugin.
  5. Click the plus sign next to ".. modules enabled" to see all the modules in this plugin.
  6. Find the "Popular-Labels" module and disable it.

I hope this helps.

Cheers, Sarah
