Disable email notifications to users listed by Confluence User List macro

I've recently created a Confluence page that has several occurrences of the User List macro. I am using this macro to publish the members of various Crowd user groups. I did not realize, however, that the users listed by the macro would receive email notifications when the page is edited. Is there any way to shut down email notifications from being sent to those users listed by the User List macro?

Hi Tom,

Disabling the "Notify Watchers" checkbox before clicking the save button during the page edit should do the trick.

Thanks!
