Disable - Saving Draft

Hi

When I try to edit the confluence contents, the page is hanging a lot and finally I have to Kill the page.

I feel that it because Confluence is trying to Save the draft copy often.

Would you please suggest if there is a option to Disable to saving draft.

What is the importance of having Saving draft enabled.

Currently its 30Sec. for our application.

what is advisable time interval to be kept?
