Did "Page history" in Confluence < > Slack app dissappeared?

With the latest update of the Confluence app for Slack, the previous "Page history" button disappeared. Now, if you would like to see a change, you need to read the whole article to get it. Before that, you had the highlighted changes and it was easier to navigate.

My question is - was this removed indeed or was it changed and I can't locate it?

Hi @Hristo Hristov

We really appreciate your feedback.

The button to view the changes upon a content update was indeed replaced by a whole set of new actions such as like, watch, star, share, etc.

Note, however, that the feature that shows history and the difference between versions is still available in Confluence under the "more" menu, in the Page history option or equivalent for blogposts, as illustrated below:

We understand it now requires a couple of additional clicks to get to the content history after you open the content but we may consider bringing that button back if this is something the app users are generally interested in.

If you desire, feel free to create a suggestion in our public Jira project at

Hope that helps. Cheers!

Hi Luiz,

Thanks for confirming!

We have the button indeed, however, the functionality is not the same as with the button in Slack you had the info highlighted in different colours and you can see the exact change that was applied. With the button in Confluence, you can see what was the previous version but not how it was updated to the newer one. And if you have multiple people, or long articles, updating a page it will be impossible to follow the updates.

Hopefully, this makes sense to you.

Hi @Hristo Hristov

Sorry for the late reply and thank you for your feedback. It was an important factor to the proper prioritization of this issue.

Though you probably have already noticed, I'd like to make sure you know that we have brought back the View changes button.

Nevertheless, Confluence allows you to select two versions of some content and compare them to see the exact changes. The integration will only display a convenient way to compare current and previous version with the click of a button.
