Baveena, You would have to create diagrams outside of confluence using tools like visio and save it as a png/jpeg/GIF etc. Post that you could insert them within confluence page.
However, If you want to create flowcharts, org charts, and similar type drawings using a text drawing language, take a look at PlantUML.
