Custom "Single Date" option in Confluence Team Calendars?

Is it possible to add a custom "Single Date" field option under the JIRA Issue Dates event type in Confluence Team Calendars?

So it looks like the way to do this is to create a custom date field in JIRA, apply it to the appropriate scheme and it will show up in Confluence Team Calendars. For some reason, the first time I tried this it didn't work. Then I posted this question. The second time I did it, it worked fine.
