Copy page out of personal space to public space. Edit button disappears?

How did we manage this trick in Confluence 5.1?

Did you check the page restrictions and the space permissions? Either could restrict edits on a page in a space.

I should have mentioned he owned the source pages in his private space and the public destination says he created the pages. He has a whole subtree that he now can't edit from his personal space.

Oh. No. Yup. I really did goof that up.

I kept looking at Space Permissions and didn't realize those were for the admin, and not the entire group (all 10 users in this instance.)

Somehow, you don't need write permissions for a group to copy pages to that group ( have to ask the user how he managed that trick ) but you will need permissions to change those pages.

Several weeks, after realizing your Crowd documentation could really use a "best practices guide", I realized I was using groups wrong and built new groups, deleting the old ones. But, didn't check the space permissions in Confluence.

Thank you for your help.

Cool. Glad you got it sorted.
