Are there any plans on making the Copy Space plugin compatible to Confluence 5.6? It's what's keeping us at 5.5.x at the moment.
Or alternatively is there a "best practice" for copying spaces? The only alternative I can come up with would be "export space, hack the XMLs (new space key etc.), reimport" - that sounds not very safe...
We upgraded to 5.6.4 this week and and it works fine for us, altough it is listed only to be compatible to 5.5.6 on the marketplace.
Often times they are still compatible even though they say they aren't. The reason is that developers have to go in a specify that it still works with the newer version. Normally the developer would want to test it first before stating that it works with "x" version. If the underlying API has not changed then it will normally just work. The best way to test this is to create a non-production version of your wiki and upgrade it first. Then test that the add-ons you use still work. When you are satisfied that they do then upgrade prod.
