Converting to Production

Mike Spitalere April 11, 2018

First time installing Confluence went well. I set up the trial and everything working the way we wanted.

During the conversion to production, my session timed out on me just before I went to select the backup XML file to restore.

Now when I connect to the service, I am greeted with "Set up error" and I am unable to do anything else.

Do I need to start over or is there a way to recover.

I am running Confluence v 6.7.0 on a CentOS 7 virtual machine.

Thanks,
Mike

Hello,

did you choose the integrated database option when setting up the trial instance ? if yes you can try accessing it using this guide: https://confluence.atlassian.com/jirakb/accessing-jira-s-h2-embedded-database-776818136.html

You might then be able to recover the data from your trial instance.

Did you have a lot of data or specific configuration that you wanted to keep from the trial ? Otherwise you might be better off starting from scratch with you production database.

Cheers,

Thank you for the reply. I did not have a lot configured so I started from scratch. All is well now.
