Confluence wiki - Chart macro seems limited: Beyond about 1000 data points it does not plot data

Badrinath Ramamurthy January 5, 2014

I am trying to plot charts using the chart macro and I find that beyond 1000 points, somehow the data does not show up in the chart. The data is stored in an excel sheet attached to the wiki page. The excel sheet itself looks fine. I have also drawn other charts with less data and they turn out good.

Any idea if this may be a mistake on my part or is it a limitation on the chart macro that I am unaware of?

We are using 4.3.7 of confluence.

I think you are right. Seems that either I was exceeding the number of cells allowed, or I was ussing data value that had duplicate times (from point of view of timeperiod). Now that is fixed it works well - I can plot 17000 plus values on my graph.

I don't think there is a specific limit. Set Display rendered data parameter to after to see what is going on. It could be the rendering has timed out.
