Confluence login page redirects to public dashboard after login.vm customised

Sarah Jacob October 7, 2012

Hi there,

I have made some basic changes to the login.vm file in order to customise the look of the front page.

All I've done is add some paragraph text, and a few images. In in order to make the images visible, I created a publicly accessible space within my Confluence instance, and moved the images there.

Now when my users access the URL for the Confluence instance, they are presented with the dashboard (displaying only the public space), instead of the login page (screenshot attached). I cannot replicate this issue on my (admin) PC, however.

Can anyone advise why this has happened, and how I can fix it?

Many thanks!

Sarah

Hi, when a user goes to the URL of Confluence, the 1st place they will arrive at is the dashboard unless you turned off anonymous access.

Can you please check if you have turned on anonymous access globally? This might explain things.
