Confluence cloud can't change attachment display from thumbnail to link

Using Confluence Cloud with Chrome and Edge browser

I've attached file to a confluence page. By default it displays as a thumbnail. I would like to display it as a link instead as explained at https://confluence.atlassian.com/confcloud/display-files-and-images-724765104.html

However when I edit the page and click the attachment thumbnail I do not see the panel under the thumbnail to change it to a link, resize it, etc.

I tried in Chrome and in the Edge browser - no panel. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Atlassian have introduced an editor for Confluence Cloud, including a new file uploading interface which was announced here https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Confluence-discussions/New-and-improved-file-uploading-experience-in-Confluence-Cloud/td-p/1027918

Thanks for the pointer. From that first post it appears that the ability to display an attachment as a link used to be possible but is no longer possible in the new editor until they add it back in.

"We currently do not offer this capability but we have it on our roadmap for the near-future." 

I'll keep on the lookout for that.
