Confluence can't authenticate to User information in Jira

Philip Stamey July 19, 2017

We are in the process of migrating Confluence and Jira to a new server.  Both have been installed and the original system information has been restored on the new server.  The original system was set up for Jira to hold the user/password information for both.

Now, after the move, Confluence can not authenticate, but Jira can.  I am sure it is because the Confluence is still trying to look in the old spot, but I can't reconfigure in web tools becasue I can't log in.  So how can I change this to look at the new Jira server from commandline?

Thanks

The strategy I recommend is to log in with an admin from the Confluence Internal directory, then edit the JIRA User Directory in the UI to "point" at the new JIRA URL.

Here are the instructions for logging in with an internal Confluence admin: Restore Passwords To Recover Admin User Rights

I look forward to any follow up questions.
