Confluence behind IIS: Profile pics not loading

Robert Dailey June 9, 2014

I have setup Confluence to run behind IIS 7.5 using AJP/1.3 protocol. It works fine except that profile pictures aren't loading. The one I currently have set has the following URL:

http://m0014/s/en_GB/5501/a39771cd4bb7ab00a226a7ea8d6dd65e64226a7f.3/_/images/icons/profilepics/default.png

Confluence is setup to run under http://m0014/wiki. The "/s/" part I doubt is being forwarded by IIS, thus the reason for the failure. Can anyone help me figure out how to forward profile pictures through IIS? Thanks.

Hi Robert, I believe this issue has something to do with your context path. I see your profile picture URL is http://m0014/s/... (without /wiki) and your Confluence is configured to http://m0014/wiki. You may check this configuration here and make use it includes the context path, or alternativelly to AJP you may configure your IIS to forward requests with ARR as in this KB.

I hope it helps.

Cheers
