Confluence attachments storage

Hi Geniuses out there, Can anybodyu tell me migrating all attachments to confluence database, does it removes all the files from the locations.

I have pushed all the contents into the database so now when i check the attachment folder in my installation directory:

/opt/atlassian/application-data/confluence/attachments

itsa size goes up to 4 kb

But its size goes upto GB

so any views on this..

No, currently attachments remain on the filesystem after migration – and there's a request (CONF-14802) to change this behaviour.
