Confluence Cloud - Jira Server - Reporting

Nick Watts July 5, 2021

Hi,

Migrating from Server to Cloud for Confluence, but leaving Jira on Server. I have connected the two instances so some dashboards work on Confluence Cloud, displaying Jira server data, but some of the custom gadgets dont work on Cloud and cant be added. I tried installing the Custom Jira Charts macro, but can't see how to connect that to the Jira Server instance.

Any suggestions how they can connect, of how to add new cusom gadgets into Confluence cloud?

Hi @Nick Watts ,

Custom Jira Charts for Confluence Cloud is only compatible with Cloud instances of Jira at the moment so it's not possible to mix and match Server and Cloud. This is due to the way we manage security on Cloud as we do not store any credentials so are not able to connect to Jira Server instances at this time.

If this feature becomes available I will let you know!

Thanks,

Hi @Nick Watts

We provide a commercial app called Dashboard Hub for Jira, which allows you to create dashboards in cloud getting data from server/data center or other cloud instances. This type of dashboards are called Hybrid Dashboards, you can read more here. If you need more information or help, let me know or contact us.
