Confluence: Cannot create a page despite space permissions

Ryan Voogjarv March 5, 2019

I was granted space permissions to add/delete pages in a certain space (called "Code").

When I navigate to that space and click "Create" there is no option to create a blank page, just a blog post.

In fact, if I create a page in another space and try to copy it to "Code", I am told that I don't have space permissions to do so.

I have tried giving it a few hours, and logging out/in. Am I missing anything about the permissions scheme for Confluence?

Hi @Ryan Voogjarv ,

To move or copy a page into a different space, you also need:

  • Delete permission on the space you're moving from.
  • Create permission on the space you're moving or copying to.

Also check if the global templates are not disabled across the space to see template like product req. etc.
