Hello!
I am trying to add the Jira Pie Chart Gadget to Confluence. I am using the help page from Atlassian for that.
I try to insert the Gadget with the following url: https://<my-jira-url>:8080/jira/rest/gadgets/1.0/g/com.atlassian.jira.gadgets:pie-chart-gadget/gadgets/piechart-gadget.xml
Unfortunately I get the error message: Invalid Gadget URL
I also can't add a gadget feed.
Regarding that issue I found this help page. But I don't think this is the solution, because my jira and confluence are already running on different context paths. (/jira/ and /confluence/ and with different ports 8080 and 8090)
Any ideas? :)
Hi,
Is your Base URL configured as https://<my-jira-url>:8080/jira? check this in General Configuration in your JIRA administration.
When I get this url for a gadget I usually:
Then I know I get the correct address
It looks suspicious with https and port 8080. Do you have a reversed proxy in front of JIRA maybe?

Yes, these are my urls:
https://<my-jira-url>:8080/jira/
https://<my-confluence-url>:8090/confluence/
And the way you described to get the url, was exactly what I did. Initially the urls were just :8080 and :8090, but the interaction between confluence and jira wasn't working, so we changed it (that is what is adviced in the Atlassian help). For example the Jira Issue Gadget/Macro works fine.

You were right, that was kind of the issue.
I used the link without https and I could add them, but I cannot use it. The macro hasn't any options to configure which Pie Chart to use (there is just a parameter for the height and the author).
Additonaly the icon of the Pie Chart is broken.

I also got that problem working with the help of: https://answers.atlassian.com/questions/120496/can-t-get-jira-gadgets-to-show-in-confluence-pages
(Changed the name of the server with the IP address).
Another problem occured: I couldn't choose a Filter or Project, because the Drop-Down-menu seemed kind of hidden. I solved this by just entering 1 letter and then press the "Print" or "Scroll Down" key....

Does it happen in all gadgets or only certain ones? Any redirection or proxy in between?

Glad that it helps :)
