Did you restart after the template change?  Are you sure you had the right template?

Did you mean page reload? Yes, I did page reload. I know that I edit proper template because when I remove everything from it - default dashboard is blank

No, restart the Confluence service. It reads and caches a lot of the templates as it starts up, so you have to restart it to ensure your changes are read.
