I already tried the approaches with deleteing the directories index, bundled-plugin, plugins-cache, plugins-osgi-cache, and plugins-temp. But it did not help.

I got it. Thanks to the Atlassian Support!

During the update the database driver jar has gone. I had mine (ojdbc6.jar) in Confluence/lib. I copied the file again to the lib folder and started the service. Now it works

Is this a standalone or ear/war distribution? If war, make sure you clear out your applications work directories too to clear out compiled jsps etc..

It's a standalone installation.

I'm having the same problem. Cleared the work directories but it didn't help.

Any other ideas?

Best,

Jussi
