Confluence 4.3.3 keeps throwing error...

JDeLong November 27, 2012

Been working the forums all day with no luck...since upgrading my dev instance this morning (3.5.9 --> 4.3.3) this just keeps piling into the log file. Here is a quick snip...

2012-11-28 13:11:06,727 ERROR [http-8001-14] [mywork.host.rest.ExceptionLogger] toResponse Exception thrown from resource

 -- url: /confluence/rest/mywork/latest/status/notification/count | userName: USERNAME | referer: http://SERVERNAME:8001/confluence/pages/editpage.action?pageId=9111421

java.lang.NumberFormatException: For input string: "4294967295"

Please see the attachment (ConfluenceStackTrace.txt) for the full trace...any ideas? I can't seem to find anything that ISN'T working within the app...but this is making the log files very large.

Thanks in advance,

Jeff

Hi Jeff,

The first thing I'd suggest you try is clearing your plugin caches because I see a few things that appear to be pointing in that direction, so please follow the steps outlined in the following document to see whether this resolves the problem: https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/CONFKB/How+to+Clear+Confluence+Plugins+Cache

If this doesn't resolve your issue then create a ticket with Atlassian Support so we can investigate this issue further and help get this issue fixed for you.

All the best,
John

Thank you ! Looks like it was a combination of the cache as well as one plugin that was no supported in this verison. Uninstalled the plugin, shutdown, killed those directories, started up and no more errors.
