Confluence 4.0 AutoExport plugin configuration

I installed, configured, and ran the AutoExport plugin. It appears to work:

[Wed Dec 07 14:07:25 PST 2011] Exporting: Starting export task for the following spaces:
[Wed Dec 07 14:07:25 PST 2011] Exporting: - scratch 01 [key=scratch01]
[Wed Dec 07 14:07:25 PST 2011] Exporting: Page "Home" from space "scratch 01" exported
[Wed Dec 07 14:07:25 PST 2011] Exporting: Page "test" from space "scratch 01" exported
[Wed Dec 07 14:07:25 PST 2011] Exporting: Space "scratch 01" exported
[Wed Dec 07 14:07:25 PST 2011] Exporting: Finished

However, there are no files in the export root directory. I tried these paths:

c:\scratch\autoexp

C:\Program Files\Atlassian\Application Data\Confluence\export

Any suggestions?

Hi Robert,

Do you still remember the "Export root directory" the first time you configure the plugin? There seems to be a bug where the exported content will always be at the same root directory even if a different directory is set later on.

For the time being, could you try check around the directories to find the exported space. For your example, should find a folder with the name 'scratch01' and all the pages will be in that folder.

Hope that'll help at the moment. Feel free to comment if there is anymore problem.

Update:-

When configuring the Export Root Path, use frontslash in the path instead of backslash. The plugin will not register the new path if it contains backslash. Example:-

  • C:/scratch01/autoexp (use this)
  • C:\scratch01\autoexp (do not use this)

Hope that will solve your problem.

Forward slash was it, thanks.

I created https://studio.plugins.atlassian.com/browse/AUTOEXP-14 to try and alleviate this problem in future.

Are there any error messages or useful information in the atlassian-confluence.log?

Hi Developers,

can u plz. simply add the path where the exporter writes into to the report oder log messages?

Whould be much easier than guessing what the first root export folder was.

And makes more sense then reporting every single page I exported.

Thx!

Matze
