I'm in search of a customizable client portal solution that we could white label and feed with content from confluence and jira.
I've not found any out-of-the-box options, so I'm curious if anyone has either (A) found a third-party application that plays nicely with confluence and jira, or (B) has custom-built a solution to provide customers or clients selective access to your content and issues.
Our use case is that we provide professional services to our clients. e.g. managed technical services. We store all issues in Jira and use Jira to manage all aspects of work items, risks, etc. We use Confluence spaces for each client to provide a rich and interactive experience.
The problem with Confluence spaces is that the user-experience for clients is poor. I'd like to have a portal where I can easily spin up a new client, then create content that is available across clients and provide my client users a slick and valuable experience.
Any ideas? Please and thank you in advance.
Hi @Tommy Spann and welcome to the Community.
We're using Scroll Viewport byt K15t to create our public (and internal) documentation portals. This is how it looks like - https://docs.emplifi.io/
Obviously, our content is created in Confluence.
Comes with integrated Jira support, Google Analytics, search is excellent, SEO works great and it doesn't require Confluence space to be open to anonymous access and can be easily integrated with content management apps such as Scroll Documents, and workflow apps.
Other options include theme apps such as Refined by Refined and Spacecraft by Seibert, but both apps require anonymous access for public sites.
Thanks for the suggestion! I like what I see from K15t. I'll dig in further.

hey @Tommy Spann ,
Lotje here from Refined. Do you work with JSM as well?
We offer a solution for both JSM and Confluence to help you build customized support sites, aimed at specific target audiences.
If you've become curious, you can watch one of our demo videos here.
Kind regards,
Lotje

Hi, thanks for the response. We evaluated JSM but decided it would not meet our needs. Our services are not "support" but more of a classic consulting engagement. We need more in the portal than just tickets. Thank you for the recommendation!

Hi @Tommy Spann ,
Have you already checked Jira Service Management (JSM)? With this, you can have a customer-facing portal where you can share specific items/tickets with specific clients.
Additionally, related to Confluence, you can integrate Confluence with JSM and use it as a knowledge management solution where, again, specific content could be visible to specific clients.
Cheers,
Tobi
