We need German as indexing language. Actually, we are unable to change from English during the message above:
Temporarily, currently only sysadmin can change indexing language and reindex all documents. Contact Atlassian Support if you need help.

P.S.: I know that it can only be done by the Atlassian Team, because I am on the free Cloud plan. I would be super thankful.

we use Confluence Free and therefore I am not able to raise a ticket.
Is there a workaround for it besides to change plans?

Thanks for your reply. Changing plans would have no effect; currently, only Atlassian Support can change the indexing language.
See the feature request CONFCLOUD-65935:
Currently the only way to change indexing language is to contact Atlassian Support.
You can raise a ticket via the Customer Advocates, and they can route the question to support, even if you have a free account. However, I'll submit a ticket now on your behalf, so please check your email for that.
