Change body of page while keeping its version number

Hi,

Is it possible to make a change to the body of a page without generating a new version of the page?

Use case: I want to generate some information (about the approval workflow) that shall be added to the body of the page before the page is published.

Thanks for your support

Hi @Tuelle,

I think it is not possible prevent Confluence from creating new page versions. I do not know any setting which disables Confluence' versioning mechanism.

Why would you prevent versioning when adding new data to a page? Will you use the version number somewhere else in our use case?

Regards,

Christian
