Change MS SQL server address in JDBC Configuration?

The documentation says I have to run the install wizard. Is this really neccessary for just changing the server ip? I was not able to find any clear text reference in the confluence folder.

look into the <confluence.home>/confluence.cfg.xml (if you are using a direct JDBC connection) or in the definition of your datasource (if you are connecting via a datasource).

check this document for more information

https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/DOC/Migrating+to+Another+Database

the doc says i have to run Confluence Setup Wizard

in a normal world there would be any config file im able to edit...

i have updated my answer!!

dont forgot to shoutdown the confluence before changing database connections

Thank you for the correct filename, with this i was able to find the config.

im using confluence 5.2.3 on windows server 2012 and my configuration can be found here:

C:\Program Files\Atlassian\Application Data\Confluence
