Hello,
My coworker and I have been reading articles and trying to debug, but we are stuck. He is a confluence user who has created a new space and is trying to invite others to it with view permissions. Unfortunately, even though he adds us to the space permissions under "Users," we are still unable to see the space anywhere. He is not a confluence admin, just a space admin. Is there a step we are missing?
HI @Margaux LeBlanc , thanks for your question.
If someone who is a Confluence Product Admin, can navigate here -
So, under Confluence admin settings / Security / Space permissions, the Confluence admin should be able to see a list of all Spaces in the instance and with the 'Manage Permissions' operation, to go into the Space settings and change the permissions to give whoever you want permission.
Please give us your feedback if this helps.
Cheers
Hi Valerie - I'm Margaux's co-worker and we tried the solution you suggested above, but unfortunately there's no change. Users I add still aren't getting email invites.
What other solutions should we try?
You must be a registered user to add a comment. If you've already registered, sign in. Otherwise, register and sign in.
Hi @Harris Schaer , thanks for your feedback. Is the issue that users don't manage to access the Space or that they don't get the emails? Users can control their email settings in the profile, so it might be worth checking with them if they have switched off all of the email notifications in Confluence, which is tempting to do honeslty as they can be quite 'noisy'.
If individual users have switched off all of the notification settings they should receive, this will respected over settings at a global or system level. So, it could be, in this case, that the access has been granted but people just don't know about it if they turned off the notifications.
Please can you check this and give us your feedback?
Cheers
