Cannot create pages

Hi

 

i have just purchased and installed Confluence but i cannot create pages, i keep getting the following error

"This page is taking longer to load than usual. Give it a few moments, then try refreshing. Still having issues? Contact your Confluence admin."

If you would like to edit pages immediately, please try turning off Collaborative editing by setting the mode to Off under Confluence Admin>Collaborative editing.
