Cannot change site logo in new cloud confluence

After the newest change to Confluence Cloud, the Atlassian logo is showing in the global sidebar instead of our company logo. I tried to change the site logo to our previous logo, but that only changes the sidebar to the right of the global one, which doesn't show throughout the site. (I used directions in https://confluence.atlassian.com/doc/changing-the-site-logo-138567.html)

How can I change the atlassian logo in the global sidebar to our logo?

Short answer: I don't think you can, as now the leftmost bar is the "Atlassian Ecosystem" bar, not actually part of Confluence (because it's also valid for JIRA and other Atlassian Cloud software). As I can see in the right part of your screenshot, there is a logo, and that is what the Confluence logo now refers to.
