Can't get to Marketplace after upgrade from 7.0.2 to 7.2.1

Joe Roper January 30, 2020

When I upgraded from 6.x to 7.0.2, I was able to get the access to the Marketplace working by putting these lines in the SETENV.BAT file:

set CATALINA_OPTS=-Dhttp.proxyHost=my-company-proxy %CATALINA_OPTS%
set CATALINA_OPTS=-Dhttp.proxyPort=80 %CATALINA_OPTS%
set CATALINA_OPTS=-Dhttps.proxyHost=my-company-proxy %CATALINA_OPTS%
set CATALINA_OPTS=-Dhttps.proxyPort=80 %CATALINA_OPTS%
set CATALINA_OPTS=-Dhttp.nonProxyHosts=localhost %CATALINA_OPTS%
set CATALINA_OPTS=-Dhttps.nonProxyHosts=localhost %CATALINA_OPTS%

(where my-company-proxy is actually my company proxy address)

When I upgraded from 7.0.2 to 7.2.1, I tried the same adjustment to the SETENV.BAT file but it did not work this time, getting the message that the Marketplace is unreachable.

I have searched for 'proxy' in other community threads and everyone of them (that I've seen) say that what I did was the correct course of action.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hello Joe,

Thank you for raising this with us.

Can you show me the error message you're receiving when you try to connect to UPM? Are all of your other users having the same issue connecting?

I would recommend we start from Problems Connecting to the Atlassian Marketplace in order to troubleshoot this issue, so if you can tell me anything you find in your Confluence Server logs and in the UI, it can help.

I'd also like to know more about your proxy setup, if you can let me know. Does this only not work behind the proxy, or if you bypass it, are you able to access?

Shannon
