We are about to embark on an upgrade of Confluence from v4.3.
Collaborative editing is not a desired feature for us and is likely to cause more hassles than benefit.
Can it be disabled?
Should we upgrade to v6.03, would this mean the server RAM and networking changes specified would no longer be required? (vers upgrading to v5.10)
Thanks
Yes, go to General Configuration -> Collaborative editing, and set the level to "off"
This will basically put the editor to working the same way 5.10 did (which in terms of RAM and networking is pretty much the same as 4.3)
