Can confluence be installed at a Synology DS916+ NAS?

Specifiacation of Synology DS916+ NAS:

CPU ModelIntel Pentium N3710
CPU Architecture64-bit
CPU FrequencyQuad Core 1.6 burst up to 2.56 GHz
System Memory8 GB DDR3

We just want to use it internally in small office, with 8 users.

Is the "operating system" on this NAS usable for this??

According to Synology Download Center for DS916+, you can install a Java8 JRE, so you might be able to run Confluence with an embedded H2 database. However, I cannot see any suitable database for production as MariaDB is not officially supported by Atlassian (see However some people actually managed to use MariaDB instead of MySQL (see, so you might want to give it a try.

Yes, you can.

Install the app Docker.
Then choose a Debian / Ubuntu image to create a new container, where you will install java + mysql.

When you have that, you can already install confluence in that docker container.

Unlikely. If it's not on this page, it's not supported –
