Can anyone comment on Confluence page size (e.g. number of lines) capacity?

We would like to make available to all users (via the anonymous option as behind our firewall using Confluence 5.7.1) our internal staff directory which is about 8000 lines (in table form).  Editing, for the first time, now seems problematic and we're wondering if we need to cut the directory into sub pages (say of a maximum of 4000 lines each).  Can anyone comment? (We have about 8 column headings. No graphics - just text we've copied in from MS Word to preserve Heading1 & 2 so we can use the table of contents macro.

Hi Hugh,

To make this available, just enable the anonymous access and grant one space the anonymous access as well. By doing that, any person who reaches the website will be able to see the contents in that space and comment as well.
