Can Questions be configured to emulate a listserv?

I'd prefer to not date myself, but here goes...
Can Questions for Confluence be configured to act like a listserv from days of old? I'd like to be able to define groups of people within Confluence that get notified whenever (and immediately after) a question gets posted to a specific Topic, and also whenever answers get posted.

Thanks for the reply. We decided that using the Community Forums add-on was a much better solution.

It looks like you can do what you ae describing by watching topics/setting watchers on topics. Please review: Watch topics and let us know if that fits your use case.
