Can I set permissions on global templates?

Tim Straub May 9, 2017

Hi,

we are in the process to update to Confluence 6.1.

Out of the box there are some templates which we would like to use in a dedicated user circle not all users.

All users who are not member of this circle shall only see the templates which have been approved to all users.

Can we set a permission on a global template so only some users may see them and some not?

Thank you in advance,

Tim

Hi Tim,

Unfortunately this is not possible by default in Confluence. You can only disable global templates (which will make them unavailable for anyone).

You could however create space templates within a specific space which is only accessible by this group of users. This way only them will be able to use them.

Best,

Maarten
