We use confluence whiteboards for PI planning. We drag Jira Issue into Smart Sections that use actions to assign the Issue to a Sprint.
We then work directly out of Jira and sometimes move the Issue to a different Sprint. However, whenever someone re-opens the Confluence Whiteboard, the Smart Sections actions automatically re-run and move the Issues back to the original Sprints!
We know we can manually, and painstakingly, select, edit and clear each Smart Section but this is time consuming and error prone - on a big board we are sure to miss a section.
A way of quickly and easily disabling or removing a whole board, or a large selection of a board's Smart Section actions so they don't keep re-running each time someone opens the whiteboard.
Hi @Adam Taylor
Currently, Confluence does not provide a native solution to globally disable or remove Smart Section actions across an entire whiteboard, which can cause repeated reapplication upon opening. Though, here are some of the options and best practices for your reference.
- Utilize JIRA labels or custom fields for tracking PI planning decisions instead of Smart Sections, ensuring flexibility in JIRA without conflicts.
Hope this helps - Happy to help further!!
Thank you very much and have a great one!
Warm regards
