Can I configure the fields to use when creating a JIRA issue from confluence?

We have some required fields on the JIRA side, that do not show on confluence, and therefore does not allow the ticket to be created. Is there a way to add some more fields to the confluence side so that the required fields are satisfied?

Was looking for the same awhile back and only found that this seems to be a known limitation. Full link - here. 

Limitations

The JIRA Issues macro will notify you if it is unable to create an issue in the selected project. This may be because the project has a required field, field configuration or other customisation that is not supported by the JIRA Issues macro. In this situation you will need to create the issue directly in your JIRA application.

thanks Danny. Seems like a pretty big use case gap not having the field configuration ability on the Confluence side...
