Automatically update changes in a filepath in Dropbox

Hey guys,

So I'm creating a page that documents all of the file paths that we have in Dropbox. However, every week or so a folder in the file path is changed, but all of the filenames are the same. So I have to change 12-01 to 12-15, for instance. I don't want to have to do this manually.

Is there a potential macro or script I can use in order to do this for me? It would be an invaluable tool for us.

WIth AppFusions' Dropbox in Confluence, you can embed the Dropbox directories in your Confluence page (and navigate up and down them, preview, etc), so if the name of the path or folder changes (or any files), it would also be updated dynamically in the embedded directory. Get an eval here:

Hey Justin, Will AppFusion change the directory on its own if I create a new folder. For instance, my initial folder is this C:\Documents\12-1\Folder2 And now that is out of date. Our new project will be in: C:\Documents\12-15\Folder2 Will AppFusion change the filepath in Confluence automatically when this happens, or will I need to manually update the filepath each time we make a new project folder? Everything remains the same in the filepath except for the date, which changes to the new project date.

Dillon - Let me try to clarify. Renaming files that you've shared a link to with others will break the link. Visitors to the link will receive an error informing them that the link is no longer active. To resume sharing the file, you'll have to give the file its original name or create a new link. At the UX level, the easiest way is just re-inserting the macro in the page. That said, you can embed full Dropbox directory structures into Confluence, and if you renamed a folder in Dropbox, the newly renamed folder would display as appropriate. I hope that was not too confusing. I think the best way to understand this is to try it and see if meets needs. Email for free evaluation.
