Automatic creation of jira issues on creating a confluence page

Hi,

I wanted to know if it is possible to achieve the following sequence for confluence + JIRA integration

  1. Click on "create child page" to create a child page
  2. After entering page content, i click on "save"
  3. It should create a JIRA issue automatically in JIRA ( if possible using some macro/script/plugin ) and take the page title as the JIRA issue summary
  4. If possible, can i select the project, issue_type and populate other fields in the issue using the script/plugin.

I know there is a JIRA issue macro which can be used to create tickets from confluence page but i am not needing that but instead some way of automatic issue creation in JIRA after creating a page in confluence.

Thanks,

Subbu

I' also interested in this sequence and mentioned about catching the pageCreation Event.

But then I stuck in creating JIRA Issues from my created JavaEventHandler in my Plugin.

Anyone else having an idea?
