Authorize Google Drive Connector message?

Shawn Connelly October 9, 2019

Hello,

As of today (Oct. 9, 2019), I am seeing a message box wherever I have used the Confluence Google Drive macro. It is a simple matter of clicking on it but this is not acceptable behavior. Why is this suddenly occurring and is it being fixed?

Message:  "Authorize Google Drive Connector"

On a possibly related note, I think this macro is also not refreshing the attached video correctly.

When posting new videos to Google drive, Google will take some time to render them before they become viewable. But as of yesterday (the first time I noticed), when linking videos that are still being renders with the Confluence Google Drive macro, the rendering message seems permanent, even after Google has completed it's rendering.

The only fix seems to be removing the macro, saving the Confluence page, re-editing and adding the macro back in, after the video becomes available from Google Drive. :(

Key points to the recent issues with the Google Drive macro:
- The Authorize Google Drive Connector message is new and reoccurring.
- The macro needs to be removed and reapplied to refresh the video's availability.
