Asian Characters After Changing Confluence Encoding to UTF-16

heeyeon lee April 25, 2017

Hello. I'm heeyeon from korea.

I'm a confluence cloud user.

I changed the encoding from UTF-8 to UTF-16 with admin privileges and there was a problem.

I can not change back from UTF-16 to UTF-8.

I have found the following solution on the internet. (The phenomenon seems to be the same)

solution:

https://confluence.atlassian.com/confkb/asian-characters-after-changing-confluence-encoding-to-utf-16-692420919.html

But, I'm a cloud user, I do not know how to shutdown and restart confluence.

I want you to restore it to UTF-8 again.

Thank you.

I found your ticket on the support portal, and asked the Cloud team to take a look. You were correct to open a ticket on https://getsupport.atlassian.com; the fix will have to be applied by Atlassian support on your behalf.
