Applying for an event in Confluence like Doodle - how to?

Rumceisz March 18, 2013

Hi All,

our HR Dept. started using professionaly our Confluence which is great. They made a page for internal events, trainings which the employees can apply. But they send an email with the link of the page and then the employee needs to send an email directly to the HR if she/he chose a training.

Our question: is there a feature, plugin for Confluence with users can apply to a training? Like doodle.

Please advise!

Thanks in advance,

Rumi

I used https://marketplace.atlassian.com/plugins/com.atlassian.confluence.extra.rsvp in the past, although it's been a while since I last did. It sounds like it does what you need, so worth a try?

Oh well, worth a mention. If you don't find anything else, might be worth downloading and recompiling it against 4.3?

HI Nic,

thanks for the hint. It's awesome plugin but we have Confluence version 4.3.2 :(

Maybe another advise?

@Rumceisz, it's been a while since you posted the question but may be worth mentioning that you can create mail forms in Confluence with Form Mail plugin which feels like a good fit to the purpose and let's you achieve similar functionality to Doodle app.

Take a look at a few examples in the tutorial prepared by our Product Team e.g. voting using radio buttons, report a bug form, call request form and more: http://www.adaptavist.com/doco/display/FMCP/3.14+Advanced+Examples

Hi,

This is an old question, but I am very interested those days to find a plugin for polls/doodles!

I have found:

https://marketplace.atlassian.com/plugins/com.tngtech.confluence.plugin.multivote/server/overview (FREE)

https://marketplace.atlassian.com/plugins/com.simplenia.confluence.plugins.polls/server/overview (USD 2400 max depending on tier).

Any other option? I am very interested in anonymous polls (where votes information is restricted to poll adniministrators) fro Confluence 5.10 (or higher).

Thank you

Multivote for Confluence can be used as a poor man's Doodle.

Tom Schülke March 8, 2019

Yes.. i use it right now.  But problem is,  in my company, we have 100 Seats of confluence and the rest is logged in as anonymus.  they can read , but esp. in the multivote they cant vote..

also its somehow difficult. Because in my company, now every one could read what was voted from whome, and when..

What i would search for was an option in Confluence, to make it as in doodle, and oly the people, i would send the link to could automaticaly see and read and vote in this area, and only the admins or people who set up the script als o could see it..
