Anonymous access only to Questions in Confluence

Miguel Ángel García Gómez July 11, 2017

Hi all,

Is it possible to grant anonymous access only to Questions in Confluence? As far as I know, an anonymous access to Questions is posible selecting "can view" option in "Question for Confluence -> Permissions -> Anonymous Access". However, if an anonymous user want to navigate to "http://<confluence server>/questions" a login screen is prompted. To solve it, I added the option "can view" in "User & security -> Global Permissions -> Anonymous Access -> Use Confluence", but doing this, an anonymous user can access to spaces too.

Is there a way to restrict user only to Questions?

Thanks in advance.

Regards,

Miguel.

Hello Miguel,

Do you need your anonymous users to browse questions only, or will they also need to ask and answer them?

Currently, in CONFSERVER-51768 there is a feature request to consider anonymous users for answering and asking questions, but browsing should be currently possible.

Can you please confirm?

Kind Regards,

Shannon
