We have a test upgrade from 4.0.4 to 5.1.3. In the test upgrade, no spaces from the old version show in the list of "Site Spaces", although when I browse to the Spaces page, they are all there. In addition, the "Spaces in categories" macro shows no spaces, but the Space List macro lists them.
If I add a space to the 5.1.3 test, that space alone shows in the list on the default landing page. They do not show in the Spaces in categories list.
Anyone know what is going on?
most comonly this is caused by indexing, so you may want to rebuild indices from scratch: https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/CONFKB/Rebuild+the+Content+Indices+from+Scratch
If that does not help, maybe the space status field is not containing the correct value.
Can you query it by:
select * from SPACES;
if the space status field contains anything but 'CURRENT' for the missing spaces, most likely this is the cause of the problem.
same problem here. upgraded to 5.1.3 in test enviornment and no Spaces listed when clicking on the 'Spaces' nav at the top. if you can get to the dashboard, it lists all the spaces ok. some users have a specific default Space set in their profile which makes it impossible to get to the dashboard since the breadcrumb trail was removed.
