Old Version: 6.13.6
New Version: 7.4.6
We upgraded confluence in our dev stage. Before the upgrade we switched to 'Safe Mode' and after upgrade unable to 'Exit safe mode and restore previous configuration'.
We are facing below error.
'System failed to restore from Safe Mode. Reenabling plugin Composition failed while exiting safe mode'
In the logs we can see below error messages.
availableForTraversal Cannot determine required plugins, cannot resolve bundle 'net.customware.confluence.plugin.composition'
We tried after clear the confluence cache as described in https://confluence.atlassian.com/confkb/how-to-clear-confluence-plugins-cache-297664846.html.
But we faced same error.
In the logs we can see connection failed to atlassian market place as well.
fetchMpacAppInfo Error when querying application info from MPAC: com.atlassian.marketplace.client.MpacException: org.apache.http.conn.ConnectTimeoutException: Connect to marketplace.atlassian.com:443 [marketplace.atlassian.com/, marketplace.atlassian.com/, marketplace.atlassian.com/] failed: connect timed out
We tried after disabling UPM connection to the market place as described in below. But still we are facing same error. https://confluence.atlassian.com/upm/configuring-marketplace-connectivity-306350947.html
Dear @GIC JIRA / Confluence Support Team ,
if possible, try to deinstall all plugins before leaving Safe mode. Afterwards install them from scratch. The data of the plugins will not be lost.
Follow this link for details.

Hi Thomas,
Thanks for your quick response.
We used 'Exit safe mode but do not restore the previous configuration'. Then we abled to exit from the safe mode. After the upgrade we rebooted the server and now we can do normal usage in confluence. But we can't go to admin pages.
We are facing below error. This is our test stage and it cannot access to Jira server. How we can disable this link to Jira in the server?
com.atlassian.crowd.exception.runtime.OperationFailedException
at com.atlassian.crowd.embedded.core.CrowdServiceImpl.convertOperationFailedException(CrowdServiceImpl.java:676)
caused by: org.apache.http.conn.ConnectTimeoutException: Connect to jira:8080 [jira/<IP Address>] failed: connect timed out
at org.apache.http.impl.conn.DefaultHttpClientConnectionOperator.connect(DefaultHttpClientConnectionOperator.java:151)
caused by: java.net.SocketTimeoutException: connect timed out
at java.net.DualStackPlainSocketImpl.waitForConnect(Native Method)

Dear @GIC JIRA / Confluence Support Team ,
to help you better, please tell me exactly what you did when upgrading from v6 to v7. Did you also change IP / hostnames? Different DBs?
